If you need some more convincing to submit an abstract, here are some benefits to presenting your work at NWO Life:
- Unexpected insights
The NWO Life audience is very broad and the programme is set up in such a way that there is ample room for discussion, questions and sharing knowledge. The perfect place to gain insights on your work from different perspectives. - Practice presenting
The broad audience also means you should present in a way that makes it is interesting for scientists from other disciplines within the life sciences. Focusing more on why it is important, and what the possibilities are. This skill will come in handy when you are looking to make societal impact with your work. - Connect
By engaging in the former two, you will automatically connect with numerous researchers.
We ask our presenters to choose one of the 6 topics to which their research relates the most. The topics are subjects that are relevant within life sciences right now. They are also broad and meant to bridge different research topics and fields. Meaning there is room for your own interpretation.
Keynote and focus session speakers
This year’s line-up consists of three inspiring and established keynote speakers: neuroscientist Onur Güntürkün, clinician Serena Nik-Zainal and soil ecologist Richard Bardgett They will share their insights as keynote speakers.
The focus session speakers will dive deep into multidisciplinary approaches and cutting-edge research. These sessions bring best practices and real-world examples to life.
