Would you like to be part of NWO Life2023?

It is now possible to register and submit an abstract for NWO Life2023. A place for life scientists to explore, connect, discuss and get inspired. In this article you will find all important dates and information about the registration, submitting abstracts for oral and poster presentations, the strategic evening and the workshops.

The programme of NWO Life2023 consist of a plenary element with keynote and invited speakers and 5 parallel tracks for oral presentations and discussions, two poster sessions, an exhibition floor, workshops, and a social programme. The 5 tracks, covering both conference days, address the theme ‘Diversity of Life’ at different scale levels. Do you want your research in the spotlights? Do not hesitate to submit your abstract during the registration process!

Registration

You can now register for NWO Life2023! There are several ticket options to choose from. Select the ticket that corresponds to your career stage and type of attendance (1 or 2 days of conference visit and if you join the Strategic evening on 22 May).

Abstract submission

Participants are invited to submit abstracts for oral presentations (max. 10 minutes) or posters.

  • Deadline for oral abstracts: 16 March
    Early career researchers are also encouraged to submit an abstract for an oral presentation.
  • Deadline for poster abstracts: 13 April
    There will be dedicated poster sessions each day, with ample time during the programme to visit the posters and to connect with the authors. Three poster prizes will be awarded to early career poster presenters (Master students, PhD candidates and postdocs).

Workshops

We offer 8 different workshops on a range of subjects. While all workshops are open for any participant, some might be more interesting for early career researchers and others for established researchers. All workshops will be held in the afternoon of the second conference day (Wednesday 24 May 2023). 

Registration for workshops is required. Please indicate your choice when you register for NWO Life2023. All workshops have a maximum of 30 participants, we operate on a first come, first serve basis.

Strategic session

On Monday evening 22 May, prior to the Life2023 conference, NWO and the Life Sciences Round Table organise a strategic interactive session on relevant developments and desirable directions in the Dutch Life Sciences. Representatives from the field are invited to participate (group leaders, members of the Biology Council, board members of disciplinary associations in the life sciences, deans, NWO board members and policymakers). Select a ticket including this evening if you would like to attend.
