Parallel session

Environmental effects on life

Zuiderduinzaal

Speakers in this session will explore the impact of environmental conditions on life. Topics may cover air and soil pollution, nitrogen deposition and exposure to toxic chemicals including pesticides and PFAS, but also the impact of naturally occurring variation in environmental conditions. The session will emphasize how these conditions contribute to disease, ecology and biodiversity. It will also include strategies for mitigation, ecosystem management and policy involvement to protect public health and global environment, using interdisciplinary approaches.
