Anton Roks studied Medical Biology in Nijmegen, and promoted to PhD in Medicine, cardiovascular pharmacology, at the University Medical Center Groningen. He has been a PI at ErasmusMC since 2007, devoting his work to the impact of DNA damage on vascular aging, and the consequences thereof on cardiac, renal and brain function. In this framework he focuses on drug target discovery and preclinical drug testing.
