Hailey is a postdoctoral researcher at SciLifeLab and KTH Royal Institute of Technology in the Spatial Biology laboratory led by Stefania Giacomello. Her research focuses on developing and applying spatially resolved methods to explore host–microbiome and host–pathogen organization and interactions in complex tissues. Through experimental method development and integration of multi-modal data, she aims to uncover how specific pathogens and microbial communities are organized in space and how they interact with host cells during health and disease. By bridging spatial technologies, microbial and pathogen profiling, and computational analysis, she seeks to expand the toolkit for studying host-microbiome interactions in situ.
