With a background in biology and ecology from the Université catholique de Louvain and a PhD in plant proteomics, I developed a passion for understanding how plants respond to their environment. My career has focused on proteomics, metabolomics, and bioprocess development, leading teams and creating a European network of plant proteomists through a COST action. I established and led the ‘Biotechnologies and Environmental Analyses’ platform at the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST). Currently, I lead the Plant Molecular Farming research group, which specializes in using plants as biofactories to produce high-value molecules and extracts for applications in food, nutraceuticals, cosmetics, and beyond, with a strong emphasis on sustainability and innovation.
