Shuttle buses
On 27 May we have arranged buses from Alkmaar Station to Hotel Zuiderduin. Bus services run to and from the train station Alkmaar. At the train station use the exit Bergerhof/Bergermeer to go to the shuttle buses. Use the pedestrian bridge to cross the road. At the bottom of the stairs, turn right. Name of this street: Wognumsebuurt. The bus company is Bakker Travel and you recognize our shuttles by the NWO Life signing. Below you can find the departure times.

NWO Life2025 app
You can now download the official NWO Life2025 app! In this app, you can find all the necessary information about the conference. Browse through the programme, view the floor plan, play the MeetUp Game and explore many more options.
How to download the app:
1. Go to the Play store orApp store and download the app.
2. Log in with your personal app login code you received via email.
MeetUp Game
This year NWO Life invites you to join the MeetUp Game! Test your knowledge and build your network by participating in our interactive game. You can play the game by downloading the app and go to the 'MeetUp Game' icon. Read the rules and start playing! During the closing ceremony on 28 May we will award a prize to the participant with the most points.

Strategic evening
The strategic evening starts on Monday 26 May at 17:30 hrs. In preparation you can read everything about the evening, including the programme, on this webpage.
Hotel
Hotel reservations include breakfast. You can check-in at the hotel reception after 15:00 hrs. Please make sure you check-out on Wednesday before 10:00 hrs. You can store your luggage in the NWO Life cloak room. The cloak room is located before the registration desks. Follow the signs upon arrival.
Cancellation policy
If you would like to cancel, you will need to pay a cancellation fee:
From 17 April until 1 May = 50% of the fee
After 1 May = 100% of the fee
No-shows: a fine of € 100 extra will be charged on top of the conference fee to cover the costs of your reservation. This fine will also be charged if you are present during NWO Life but you cancel your reserved room after 1 May 2025
Participation fees (per person, per day)
The registration fee includes coffee/tea, lunches, dinner with drinks, and access to all the lectures, poster sessions workshops and social programme.

Hotel fees
The hotel registration fee includes a single or double room shared per person (price per night), and includes breakfast.

Strategic dinner fee
The strategic evening registration fee includes dinner with drinks plus a strategic interactive programme. The strategic evening is for representatives from the field (group leaders, members of the Biology Council, board members of disciplinary associations in the life sciences, deans, NWO board members and policymakers).
